Kilimangiaro 2010

Climbing Mount Kilimangiaro to help World Friends

Acqui Terme section of Italian Alpine Club (CAI) has organized a climbing on Mount Kilimangiaro, to raise money for World Friends campaign “Born in the right place”, aimed to build the Maternity department of the Neema Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya.

The expedition will take place next February, a weather positive period in East-Africa.

It’s not the first time that the CAI of Acqui Terme plans a mission to help World Friends projects in Africa. In 2007, indeed, members of the Club climbed Mount Kenya and devolved all the funds raised  to the construction of the first block of Neema Hospital.

Dr. Morino (founder of World Friends) is himself a member of Acqui Terme CAI!

Get involved!

To help Maternity department construction, ask for the “Kilimangiaro postcard”: with a donation of 5 Euros, you’ll receive it directly at your home from Africa (remember to write the address where you want it to be delivered!)

Give Nairobi babies the right place to be born!
