“Health education, Aids prevention and socio-cultural promotion programme in Nairobi slums”
Background…
The education programme in the schools and in the villages is part of an helath education and HIV/Aids prevention national programme called Education for Life, promoted by Kenya Government and Kenya Episcopal Conference as the only health education and prevention programme in Kenya addressed to youths aged 9 to 18 years in primary and secondary schools and villages, with the aim of improving community standards of living through behaviour change for reducing youth desease.
The educational methodology is the one taken from the local school through lessons, theatre, music, video sessions, seminars and testimonies.
