Acqui Terme section of Italian Alpine Club (CAI) has organized a special party (on Saturday, 27 march in Acqui Terme, Italy) to tell about their experience on Mount Kilimangiaro and show videos and pictures about it.
The enterprise was supposed to raise money for World Friends campaign “Born in the right place”, aimed to build the Maternity department of the Neema Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya. The initiative has succeeded on both sides: they reached Kilimangiaro peak according to their schedule and raised more than 10.000 euros for World Friends project.
It’s not the first time that the CAI of Acqui Terme plans a mission to help World Friends projects in Africa. In 2007, indeed, members of the Club climbed Mount Kenya and devolved all the funds raised to the construction of the first block of Neema Hospital.
